Choose a venue for your dates
Odori and the Munich Christmas Market end Dec 25; Ekimae-dori runs through Feb 11, 2027, and the Red Brick Government Building venue through Feb 28. Minami-ichijo, Akapla and the Sapporo Station South Plaza continue to Mar 14; Nakajima Park is open Jan 9–28, 2027.
Odori and Sapporo Station serve different venues
Odori is beside Odori subway station; the south plaza is in front of JR Sapporo Station. Rather than walking every venue, choose one that is open during your stay and start from its nearest station.
Lighting hours vary by venue
Odori and Ekimae-dori generally run 16:30–22:00, with midnight extensions on specified dates. The Sapporo Station South Plaza and Akapla adjust their start time to sunset. Check the venue page for the date you plan to visit.
Free to view; check your return service
The official FAQ says the illumination is free to view. Venues are spread across the city and some stay open late, so check the last train or bus from the final venue to your accommodation.
