Choose the festival eve or main day
Dec 2 is Yoimiya (festival eve) and Dec 3 is the main festival. Check the city's official page for the 2026 traffic map and float schedule before the event.
Walk from Chichibu Station toward the shrine
Chichibu Station on the Chichibu Railway is the closest station to Chichibu Shrine. Seibu-Chichibu is usually about a 15-minute walk; expect a longer trip in festival crowds.
Paid B seats and sale terms
B seats are reserved and cost ¥4,000 per person. Seats cannot be selected, and views of the floats and fireworks vary by position. Children aged 3 or older pay; a seat used by a child under 3 is also chargeable. The 200 in-person tickets are sold Oct 31–Nov 3, 10:00–18:30, up to four per person, cash only, while supplies last. The lottery application closed Oct 19–22.
Recheck closures and your return route
Downtown roads are controlled during the festival. When the city posts its traffic map and float schedule, use them together to choose a viewing point and walking route back to a station. Check the last train if you plan to stay into the evening.
